Benefits of Pediatric Dentistry
When you start your kids off early by going to the dentist, you set them up for a better future. Getting them used to coming to a dental office with all the sights and sounds can help them feel less anxious as they age. We designed our office to ease anxiety in all our patients.
Our dentists are happy to sit with your kiddos and walk them through the process. We love that our little patients are curious about all the devices and what they do, and we’re happy to show them. We’ll ensure they know what will occur during their exam, what happens during cleaning and how they can keep their teeth clean after they leave.
Getting your kids started early means we can teach them about oral hygiene and how to care for their teeth. It’s also an excellent way for us to work with parents on how they can care for their children’s teeth between visits. We talk about the importance of brushing and flossing, how to prevent cavities and what to expect when teeth start getting loose.
Regular check-ups and cleanings are great ways to prevent issues from popping up. When your child has good oral hygiene habits, they are less at risk of problems like cavities and gum problems. It means dental visits are less anxious, brushing and flossing aren’t painful and dental issues can be handled immediately.
Part of teaching kids good oral hygiene is also teaching them when to spot if something is wrong. If your child is used to brushing and flossing daily, they can quickly point out issues such as tooth pain, gums, and sensitivity. This means we can handle any dental issues and teach your children how they can be prevented.
What we offer
We know that having oral care for your child matters, so we offer a few services to make sure they have the care they need.
Dental Check-Ups
We want your kids to have healthy smiles, so getting them started with dental visits early is a great way to build healthy habits. When you bring your child in for a check-up, we’ll examine their mouth and teeth. We’ll review any concerns, check their teeth as they grow, and ensure they are on the path to healthy teeth.
Dental Cleanings
When you bring in your child for a dental cleaning, our team will ensure they are as comfortable as possible. We will walk your children through the process as we clean their teeth. We’ll explain what each tool does, why we’re flossing their teeth and everything in between.
We’ll begin with a check-up to ensure their teeth and gums look healthy. We’ll check for loose teeth for our little patients and then start the cleaning. Like a regular cleaning with our adult patients, we’ll eliminate the tarter or plaque build-up. Once we’ve done that, we’ll explain polishing and cleaning the teeth. After the cleaning is done, we’ll send off your kids with a small care package of oral hygiene products so you can help them keep up those healthy habits.
Family Education on Oral Hygiene
The whole family must know how to take care of their teeth. When you bring your kids in for check-ups and cleanings, we’re happy to sit your family down and go through healthy habits. We’re here to teach them how to brush and floss and the importance of taking care of the overall health of their mouths.
Good dental hygiene starts at home; we help maintain it. We’re happy to provide tips and tricks to excite your kids about oral hygiene. The more fun you make it, the easier it is to keep your kids interested in dental health.
Preventative Treatment
Maintaining the health of your children’s teeth is paramount to us. We’re here to prevent cavities, significant build-up and other dental issues. Seeing us for regular visits will help negate any problems and stop them in their tracks.
Orthodontic Assessment
Our pediatric dentists take long-term care seriously. We’re looking at all aspects of your child’s dental health, including orthodontics. We’re looking at how the teeth will move as your child loses teeth and new ones grow. We offer early orthodontic assessments to prevent issues or provide options for orthodontic problems.

Letting us know beforehand helps us with preparing for your child. We can put together a small care package for them, and our pediatric dentists will take the extra time to go through the process for check-ups and cleanings. We love it when our little patients give fun names to all the tools.
It’s good for your child to know why caring for their teeth matters. We recommend that parents talk about why they go to the dentist. When your little one understands that it’s essential for you to go, it makes them go a little less scary.
