Invisalign Calgary

We know your smile is important to you; it’s the first thing people notice about you. When you’re not confident about how your smile looks, you won’t show it off. At Toothcrew, we want to give you back your smile. We’re your local choice for Invisalign; our Calgary team is here to help create a custom plan for your smile needs.

Invisalign is a virtually invisible set of liners that gradually realign your teeth so you can confidently show off your smile. Invisalign is an excellent choice for people who don’t want the hassle of traditional metal braces. The metal brackets of braces make things like brushing and flossing a hassle, not to mention that orthodontic treatment is expensive.

When you choose Invisalign, you select an option that goes your pace. The aligners are designed to change the shape of your teeth gradually. While braces can take years, Invisalign can get your smile sorted in as little as six months.

Calgary Invisalign treatment that transforms your smile

If you’re interested in getting Invisalign, see our team. You’ll meet with our dentist for a consultation to get started on the Invisalign treatment. We’ll walk through what your concerns are and come up with a treatment plan.

Before starting treatment, we take x-rays and moulds of your teeth to determine what needs to be adjusted. From there, we’ll create a custom plan for tackling the issue. We’ll submit the x-rays and moulds to Invisalign so they can make the invisible aligners.

When you receive your set of aligners, we’ll ensure they are comfortable. We advise wearing the aligners 20-22 hours daily for best results. You can take them out for eating, flossing and brushing your teeth.

As you progress, we’ll provide you with new aligners every two weeks. Providing new aligners keeps you on track to your goal and ensures you come in every six weeks to see us. These regular check-ups ensure we can keep you comfortable and adjust if needed to keep you on track.

Benefits of Invisalign

Whether looking for the perfect smile or correcting dental issues, Invisalign can help. Things like overcrowded teeth, gaps, or an issue with your bite can all be helped with aligners. Our team will set you up with the best treatment for you.

When you get Invisalign, you can continue day-to-day life without changes. With braces, there are foods you can’t eat because they can damage the wire or brackets. With Invisalign, you don’t have to worry about that. You can take out your aligners to eat and put them back on when you’re done.

With Invisalign, maintaining your oral hygiene is simpler. You can brush and floss as usual, take the aligners off for dental appointments and don’t have to worry about things becoming wedged in any metal brackets.

Do you qualify for Invisalign?

Invisalign isn’t for everyone; that’s why we need a consultation to assess if this is a good option for you. We’ll ask questions about lifestyle and dental history. This gives us all the information we need to provide you with the best treatment plan.

Do you have any baby teeth left?

Baby teeth are meant to fall out to make room for adult teeth. If you still have baby teeth, we’ll hold off on treatment until they fall out. Invisalign is meant to secure your teeth into place, which is difficult for any teeth that still need to fall out.

Do you smoke?

Smoking can be a hindrance to treatment. Smoking leads to a lack of blood flow in the mouth, which means that healing is compromised. It will take longer to see results if you do smoke, so we suggest that smoking should be stopped if you want to pursue Invisalign and for your overall dental health.

Do you have any gum disease?

If you have gum disease, we’ll have to take care of that before we can talk about Invisalign. We’ll get you on a treatment plan when your gums are healthy. Invisalign is a better option as there is no metal to upset or injure the gums.

Do you have crowns, bridges or implants?

If you have crowns, dental bridges or implants, this will affect how the teeth move. If you have a dental bridge, the teeth are fused to the bridge so that they won’t move with Invisalign. If you need a dental bridge or implants, it’s best to hold off on them until you finish the Invisalign treatment.

Have you had your wisdom teeth removed?

Wisdom teeth can affect your Invisalign treatment. If the wisdom teeth are growing during treatment, they can affect the fit of the Invisalign trays. It’s best to consult with us to see if you need your wisdom teeth removed before treatment.

Can you make a 12-to-16-month commitment?

Invisalign can be as short as six months, but most treatments will last 12 months. The length of time is more directly related to the individual needs of your teeth. We can give you a timeline once we’ve done our assessments.
